We understand that you are facing unemployment and the worry that comes from financial strain. It is commendable that you are holding onto Jesus and acknowledging God's faithfulness.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In times of worry, we must remember Jesus Christ's words to us in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? “Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling the weight of unemployment and financial worry. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your promise to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory.
We rebuke the spirit of worry, fear, and anxiety, and we cast it out. Your word tells us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to You. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We ask You to open the doors of employment for our brother/sister. We understand that your plan for us is to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. We ask You to provide for all financial needs.
Help our brother/sister to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that You will add everything needed to his/her life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember what is stated in Philippians 4:19 WEB: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
