Disciple of Prayer
In pain from an injury for two weeks. Asking God for relief but none has come. Please pray for ###. My name is ###.
Relief from pain
Jerry, we are truly sorry to hear about your ongoing pain and discomfort. We want to encourage you and remind you to come to God in prayer.
We will stand with you in prayer on this, trusting God's timing in all things.
We are reminded in Galatians 6:9 of the WEB:
Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap at the proper time, if we do not give up.
We may not understand God's timing or His plans, but He will help us to sustain and He can turn anything into good even if we don't understand how. While we may struggle in this, we believe that this has been promised to us who believe in His name. We are grateful that He gave us His name to appeal to Him, to ask Him for everything we need, and to have fellowship with Him.
Let's pray,
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up ###, and asking for Your healing touch upon his life. You know his pain and You know his journey.
Forgive ### for his missteps, even those unbeknownst to him, and come into his life. Lord, we have faith in your will. If it aligns with His purpose, please provide relief.
In all things, may Your will be done and may ### find comfort, strength, and encouragement in You.
We know that Your power is strong and Your desire for ### is to do well. Let this pain draw him closer to you and Your love. Be with ###'s caregivers and be with Your will in all things as we ask all these things in Jesus Christ's name, amen.
IJN or In Jesus Name is added to the end of prayers as a reminder of the authority we have when we come to God the Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ. We are reminding ourselves, and declaring our faith in Him, and the power He has given to us in His name, and that God only hears our prayers when they are done in Jesus name. By praying in the name of Jesus, it is a way to check ourselves, ensuring that our motives are pure and righteous. Our prayers should align with what Jesus would desire, and His will should be our goal. Jesus should be on our hearts, minds, and souls whenever we pray and this can be guided by what we have read in God's word in the Bible.
Since Jesus Christ is the mediator between God and humanity, we are to use His name as a requirement for prayer to God. Only Jesus is our mediator as He is both God and man. Even the Old Testament saints looked forward to God's mediation in Jesus Christ when they prayed in expectation of His coming and His salvation, which they did not fully understand, but had faith in, and we do the same for His second coming. Jesus is the living way to salvation, to eternal life and to God Himself. This is why in Acts 4:12
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings, healing, and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
