We understand your concern for your son and we are here to lift him up in prayer together. Firstly, we must be reminded of what the word of God says, "Don't be anxious for anything" Philippians 4:6. God does not want us to live in anxiety. He wants us to live in peace and cast our anxieties on him. Hebrews 4:15-16 reminds us that, "For we don't have a high priest who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." Therefore, let us pray.
Father, we come before you lifting up the son of our fellow believer. We know that you care for us and that you want us to live lives full of your peace. We pray for this young man and that you will remind him of your promises in your word. We pray that you give him the tools and wisdom he needs to excel in his job. We pray that you will place godly people in his path so that he can form friendships that will uplift him and draw him closer to you.
Please speak to his heart and mind and let him know that he is not alone. We pray against the spirit of loneliness and rebuke it in Jesus' mighty name. Remind him that you are with him always, even until the end of the world. We pray that he will excel in his job and that he will also find contentment and satisfaction in it.
We pray that this young man will seek you first. Matthew 6:33 tells us, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Father, we know that when he puts you first, everything else will fall into place. We pray that he will grow in his relationship with you. We pray for his mental well-being, that you will give him a sound mind and that he will live in your peace which passes all understanding.
Father, we pray that he will make wise decisions in his life and that he will not unequally yoke himself in any marriage or friendship. For we know that the wrong relationships can cause unnecessary heartaches. We pray that he will keep himself sexually pure and that he will not fall into the temptation of fornication. We pray that if it is your will, that you will place a godly wife in his future. One that he can love and that will love you. One that will help him in his walk with you.
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. For it is in his name that we have access to you, Father. It is in his name that we are saved. It is in his name that we are made whole. Acts 4:12 states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Father, we thank you for all the blessings that you are going to bestow on this young man. In Jesus' name, we pray.
