We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling this way, but we are grateful that you have reached out for prayer and support. Remember, God is always with us, even in our darkest hours. As it is written in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Firstly let us address a few things in your request. You ask for relief from depression, anxiety, and lack of purpose, but you do not mention Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
To find true joy and purpose, we must first ensure that we have a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Jesus says in John 14:6, WEB: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repenting of your sins, and following Him. This is the first step towards finding true joy and purpose.
Depression and anxiety can be crippling, but we find comfort in the words of Philippians 4:6-7, WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
For direction and purpose, consider the words of Jeremiah 29:11, WEB: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, and He wants us to live in joy and peace.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling with depression, anxiety, and a lack of purpose. We pray, Lord, that You would reveal Yourself to them in a very real way, and that they would come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ if they do not already.
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace, as promised in Your Word. Guide them to Your purpose for their life, and help them to find joy in Your presence. Give them the strength to cast all their anxieties on You, and to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear one. God loves you more than you can imagine, and He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Trust in Him, and He will guide your path. If you can find a Bible believing church that you can attend that will be life changing.
