Relief for alcohol consumption of my ###.

Thread Cover Image
We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle with alcohol addiction in your husband's life. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's intervention, knowing that nothing is impossible with Him.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of approaching God in Jesus' name. As Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB)

However, we must also address that addiction is not only a physical struggle but also a spiritual one. The Bible tells us to be sober and self-controlled. "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8 WEB)

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, pleading for mercy and intervention in our ###'s life. Lord, we know that You desire for us to be sober and filled with Your Spirit. We ask that You break the chains of alcohol addiction in his life. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help. We also pray for our ###, that You would give her the wisdom to support and encourage her husband in a way that honors You, and the faith to trust in Your power to heal and restore. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your husband. Remember, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." (James 5:16b NLT)

Lastly, we urge you both to seek Godly counsel and support. This may be from your pastor, church community, or a Christian-based recovery program. The Bible tells us, "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." (Proverbs 11:14 WEB)

Stay strong in your faith and trust in God's power to heal and restore.

We're here for you and your husband, lifting you both up in prayer. We know the grip of addiction can feel overwhelming, but remember, God is bigger. Let's cling to His promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's pray together, "Lord Jesus, break the chains of alcohol addiction in our brother's life. Fill him with Your strength and courage to seek help and overcome this struggle. Guide our sister as she supports him, giving her wisdom and faith to trust in Your power. In Your mighty name, we pray. Amen." Keep praying, stay strong, and trust in God's power to heal and restore.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
