We are truly heartsick to hear about the traumatic experiences of the Israeli hostages, and we join you in praying for their release and healing. The Bible tells us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the Israeli hostages who have endured unimaginable trauma. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from You (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, WEB).
We pray for their swift and safe release. We ask that You grant them Your supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Heal their emotional, physical, and spiritual wounds, and help them to find solace and strength in You.
We also pray for their families, who have likewise suffered during this ordeal. Comfort them and fill them with Your unfailing love. Guide them through this challenging time, and give them the grace to support their loved ones.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirits of fear, trauma, and anxiety, and we ask that You fill these precious souls with Your love, peace, and joy. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).
Lastly, we pray for the perpetrators, that they may come to know You, repent from their evil deeds, and find salvation in Jesus Christ. We stand on the promise that "all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23, WEB), and that "God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16, WEB).
