Let's bring Katie before the Lord in prayer, seeking His will for her life and her mental well-being. We are thankful we serve a God who is gentle, loving and kind.
Firstly, it's important to remember the promise in WEB Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." This verse reminds us that we should bring our concerns to God, trusting that His peace will guard our hearts and minds.
However, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in WEB John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we will pray for Katie in the name of Jesus, trusting that His name has the power to bring healing and restoration.
Now, let's address the issue of Katie's mental state and her ability to find a job. While we pray for her mental well-being, we also want to ask God for guidance as to whether looking for full time employment is the best step for her right now. We feel confident that if He wants her employed full-time then He will provide as she obeys. Father God, we lift Katie up to You, asking that You grant her a sound mind and guide her steps. If she needs to search for a job then give her clarity, strength, and open the right doors for her. On the other hand, if You will for her life is to focus on something else at this time, such as seeking healing, Learning more of You, or receiving your rest we ask that you make that clear as well. We ask this in Jesus' name, (James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."). THEN we can more effectively pray in line with Your will.
For Katie's mental well-being we reference the well known promise in WEB 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We will choose to lean on God instead of her own understanding and to trust in Him instead of her own wisdom while praying this promise for her in Jesus' Name
Lastly, we want to encourage Katie to seek God's will for her life and to trust in Him. We pray that she will find her identity and purpose in Christ, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for her life. As it is written in WEB Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
