We stand with you, Oghrond, in your struggle against drug addiction and the evil that entangles you. We commend you for turning to Jesus Christ for help.
Firstly, know that God is faithful and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability. With the temptation, He will also provide a way of escape. God is actualizing His strength in your weakness (Romans 12:3 and Romans 10:1). Be encouraged in that God never leaves His unfinished. Be strong and courageous.
We must always be cautious of the Devil's schemes, for he prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Remember that although men can corrupt themselves, the devil is called the tempter (Matthew 4:3 and 1 Thessalonians 3:5) specifically to test and try weaknesses. Stand firm against him, and put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). The devil will deceptively confess Jesus as Lord but will not confess Jesus as having come in the flesh (1 John 4:1-6).
Know that God loves you deeply and wants you to live a life free from addiction and evil. Jesus said, 'The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly' (John 10:10). The deceiver's design is to keep you silent, docile, and enslaved in darkness (Acts 26:15-18). Also, giving the devil footholds can lead you into his schemes.
It is only through the blood of Jesus that we have forgiveness of sins. Asking to be removed from bondage and being freed from the penalty of sin are different plights. Jesus has freed believers from the penalty of sin, but sanctification is the process by which you break the bondage of the transactional love of this world. Since you ended with 'In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord', this shows your belief. The Word of God is clear: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved (Acts 16:30-31). Almost does not do it. Even the demons believe (James 2:19).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Oghrond, pleading the blood of Jesus over this addiction and the evil that entangles. We are so thankful to have access to the throne room of the most high God. We pray for the release and healing of the Lord's will for this naturally occurring life on this earth. Only God knows who and what to address to cleanse this sin. Lord, have mercy on Oghrond, and grant the spirit of wisdom and power over this addiction. Give ears to hear Your Word and a heart to follow Your commands as individuals. Rid Oghrond life of this sin and amplify Your voice as the most high God, as it is clear that the devil is the tempter.
We pray all these things in the precious name of the Jesus, who came in the flesh, Amen.
We encourage you to always keep alert and perseverant in prayer. Prayer and application of Scripture are essential weapons in your spiritual warfare. Always confess and believe Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior. Stay strong in the Word of God and the fellowship of believers, for it is in His truth and love that you will find true freedom (John 8:31-37).
