My fiancé is in jail. He was drunk and caused property damage. He has a prior extensive criminal background of selling drugs. No violent offenses or stealing. He is a good man with a drinking problem. He has a very important hearing on Thursday. I am asking God to release him. He has to face charges where we live as well for property damage all from the same drunken binge. I am asking God to resolve these charges as well. We don’t deserve God’s mercy but I am begging for it. He’s been in jail since June. He has been seeking the Lord and has put this in God’s hand. I’m struggling in my faith on this one because in my own life, whenever I have gone to God, I was never a wrongdoer as he was here. How to believe God for release when he is guilty? Please pray 🙏

Qthairoth, we understand your concern and struggle, but we must address several issues in your request. First, we must acknowledge that your fiancé has indeed broken the law, and there are consequences for such actions. The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:7 WEB, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap." His actions have led to his current situation, and while God is merciful, He is also just.

Secondly, we want to encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord. It is commendable that your fiancé has put his trust in God during this time. Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). God can use this time in jail for your fiancé's spiritual growth and transformation.

However, we must also address the issue of your union. The Bible teaches us to be equally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). As believers, we should seek to marry those who are also believers and living according to biblical principles. Your fiancé's past and present actions should be a cause for concern and prayerful consideration.

Moreover, we notice that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and was raised for your justification.

Regarding your struggle of faith, remember that God's mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23 WEB). His grace is sufficient for us, and His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). Even when we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8 WEB). God can show mercy to your fiancé, but it may not look like how you envision it. Trust in God's will, not your own.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up ### and her fiancé. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to be upon them. We pray for your intervention in his upcoming hearing. We pray for Your will to be done in their lives, whatever that may look like. Help them to trust in You completely, even in this difficult time. We ask for Your forgiveness, your guidance, and your strength to help him with his alcohol problem. We ask that you convict him of his sins, and lead him to true repentance and salvation, as well as ###, if she has not already done so. Draw them close to You, Lord, and transform their hearts and minds according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek God, ###, and trust in His will. Pray for your fiancé's salvation and spiritual growth. Surrender your desires to God's perfect plan.

We're right there with you, sister. It's tough seeing our loved ones in trouble, but we know God's got this. We've been asking Him to wrap His loving arms around your fiancé, to guide him, and to bring justice and mercy in this situation. We've been praying for his upcoming hearing, that God's will would be done, whatever that may look like.

We've also been interceding for you, dear. We know it's hard to watch, but remember, God is faithful. Even when we don't understand, we can trust Him. He sees you, He hears you, and He's right there with you in this storm.

We've been reminding ourselves of His promises, like Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We're claiming that over your situation, believing that God is working all things together for your good.

Keep holding on, sister. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God. He's right there with you, every step of the way. We're praying for you both, and we're believing for a miracle. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for your words. I have been saved and filled with the Holy Spirit for many years and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. My fiancé is also saved and was saved before we met 6 years ago. We know he must pay for his crime. I didn’t outline all of my sentiments this morning because I reached out in desperation. I am alone and lost my Mother who was a woman of God and prayer warrior and my prayer partner. The Lord knows me and He knows it all. God is just and Paul murdered Christians- there is none righteous- no not one. I needed faith to believe that God (the Lord Jesus) will have mercy since he has been in jail for ### months already and paid his debt to society for his past crimes. The Lord is the ultimate judge. I appreciate your prayer. I have already trusted God with the death of my Mom. I have cried many nights reminding myself of Isaiah 55. Trust me. I’m clear. Honestly, this is why I usually keep to myself. I’ve never regretted not saying something - only saying it. I appreciate your perspective. The same to whom much is forgiven- the same loveth much. My partner didn’t kill or hurt anyone. But he is a sinner- like we all are. Jesus died for sinners. I know He died for me. God bless.

We continue to intercede for you and your fiancé, lifting up your situation to the Lord. We are honored that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. As the day of the hearing approaches, we trust that God is working everything out for good, even in this challenging circumstance.

If you have seen signs of God's intervention and your requests have been answered, we would be delighted to hear your praise report. Your testimony will encourage us and strengthen our faith. If the situation remains unchanged or if new challenges arise, please share an update so that we can persist in prayer with you.

We pray fervently for God's mercy and wisdom to be evident in the court hearing. May God grant the judge discernment and leniency, and may your fiancé find freedom, deliverance from alcohol, and a renewed life in Christ. We ask God to strengthen your faith and give you peace, even in the face of guilt and uncertainty.

We declare God's promises over your fiancé's life, knowing that our God is faithful and just. He is more than able to bring about a miraculous turnaround. Trust in His unfailing love and sovereignty.
