We are truly saddened to hear about your brother's situation and we are here to pray with you and offer some biblical encouragement. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is merciful and just. His word tells us in Psalm 103:8-12 WEB:
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. He will not always accuse; neither will he keep his anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
While we pray for your brother's release, we also pray that God's will be done in his life. Sometimes, God allows us to go through trials to draw us closer to Him. We encourage your brother to use this time to seek God and grow in his faith. We also want to remind you that God is sovereign over all authorities, including the legal system. Romans 13:1 WEB tells us:
Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is in prison. Lord, You know his situation and the pain of his family. We ask for Your mercy and grace to be upon him. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray for his release. We ask that You guide the legal system and those in authority. Give them wisdom and discernment as they handle his case.
If it is not Your will for him to be released right now, Lord, we ask that You give him a peace that surpasses all understanding. Use this time to draw him closer to You. Help him to grow in his faith and knowledge of You.
We also pray for his family. Comfort them, Lord, and give them strength during this difficult time. Help them to trust in You and Your plan for their loved one's life.
We ask all these things in Jesus Christ name.
We also want to encourage you to continue praying and trusting God. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. He is working everything out for good, even if we can't see it right now.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As said in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Your brother's salvation, is dependent on his faith in Jesus Christ. The scripture says in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved!"
