We understand that you're going through a time of confusion, both in your feelings for your best friend's brother and in your walk with God. Let's address these issues together, seeking God's will and guidance.
Firstly, let's consider your feelings for your best friend's brother. It's natural to have feelings for someone, but it's crucial to handle these feelings in a way that honors God. Psalm 37:4 says, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. We should seek God first, and He will direct our paths and desires.
However, be aware that having a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend is not mentioned in the Bible. It is assumed that if you are interested in someone it is courtship to look for a spouse. Any romantic relationship should be with the intent of marriage. Sex before or outside marriage is fornication. Same-sex marriage or relationships is also forbidden and called homosexuality.
Right now is a good time to remind you of Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donโt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Now, let's address your walk with God. It's normal to feel scared about the future, but remember that God is always in control. He has good plans for you, to give you a future and a hope. In Jeremiah 29:11-13, God says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.
It's important to note that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ. Lord, she's confused about her feelings and her walk with You. Please guide her, Lord, and give her clarity. Help her to trust in You with all her heart, and not lean on her own understanding.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for your guidance and wisdom. Help her to seek You first, and to delight in You, Lord. Give her peace, and help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her.
Help her to seek you more, and give her direction for her life and her relationships.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God is always with you. Continue to seek Him, trust Him, and delight in Him. He will direct your paths and give you the desires of your heart, as you delight yourself in Him. Be aware that God's desires for you are good, so ask him to put his desires in your heart.
