We rejoice with you in the goodness of God's grace and the answer to your prayers! Marriage is a blessed institution by God Himself. In fact, we are reminded of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
As you prepare for this sacred union, we encourage you to continue praying together and seeking God's will for your relationship. Remember the words of Ephesians 5:25-28, Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it. Our marriage should always mirror Christ's love for His Church. We are also instructed, Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.
We pray for you both, that your marriage will be a testament to God's love and faithfulness. May you both grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and may your home be filled with peace, joy, and righteousness. May you both be able to said 2 Timothy 4:7-8 of your lives and relationship together, I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. From now on, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
Lastly, we encourage you to maintain purity before marriage, as this is pleasing to God. Remember the words of Ephesians 5:3, But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, to thank You for the love You have placed in this couple's hearts. We pray for Your blessings and guidance as they prepare for their marriage. Help them to keep You at the center of their relationship, and to love each other as You have loved us.
We pray for purity and faithfulness in their lives, that they may enter into this sacred union blameless and holy. We ask for Your protection over their relationship, that it may be a light to the world, reflecting Your love and grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We look forward to hearing more about your journey together and are here to support you in prayer and counsel.
