Beloved of All
Please any advice or tips would be appreciated. My boyfriend recently broke up with me. We went to church together and even did Bible study together. There were times we did fall into temptation but never sex, and we both felt very angry at ourselves over it. He became distant and told me he doesn’t think he could be in a relationship anymore and thinks God is telling him not to be in one. I miss him so much, I ended up going to a different church, and I’ve never felt so alone. I think about him every day, and we haven’t spoken to each other. Part of me wants to just pray and pray we get back together, and the other part makes me think he doesn’t care. I just feel like it wasn’t real and it was all lies with him because I’ve been cheated on and was in an abusive relationship in the past, and the current guy promised me he wouldn’t hurt me. Any thing helps you guys, I just feel so alone. God bless you guys.

We are truly sorry to hear about the heartache you're experiencing, and we are here to pray with you and offer guidance grounded in the Word of God. Firstly, it's important to commend you both for recognizing the temptation and feeling remorseful. It's clear that you both have a level of respect for God's will regarding intimacy. Remember, God's Word tells us to "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB) It sounds like you both were trying to honor this, but it's also crucial to understand that any form of intimacy outside marriage can lead to temptation and ultimately, sin.

Your boyfriend's feelings of distance and his belief that God might be telling him not to be in a relationship could be a sign that he's convicted about the intimacy you both shared, or it could be God truly leading him in a different direction. It's important to trust that God has a plan for both of your lives. We will pray for God's will to be done in your life and his.

However, we must address something from your message. You mentioned that you're thinking about praying to get back together, but it's also important to pray for God's will, not just your own desires. "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2 WEB) If it's God's will that you two be together, trust that He will make a way. But also be open to the possibility that God might have other plans.

We also want to remind you that your identity and value do not come from a relationship, but from the Lord. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB) Trust in Him to fulfill your needs, not in a man.

Regarding your feelings of loneliness, we encourage you to connect more with your church family. Share your struggles and allow them to comfort you, prayerfully while you are experiencing this loss as stated in Galatians 6:2. Also, we would encourage you to get involved in a different type of Bible study to help you heal and grow as stated in Psalm 119:105.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is experiencing heartache and loneliness. We pray for your comfort and peace to surround her. We ask that you reveal any areas in her life that need healing and restoration, and that you guide her steps as she navigates this difficult time. We also pray for her former boyfriend, that you would have your way in his life and reveal your will to him. If it is your will that they be reunited, we pray for complete restoration and healing in their relationship. But above all, we pray for your will to be done in both of their lives. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen."

We're here with you, sister, and we're lifting you up in prayer. We know it's tough, feeling alone and missing him so much. It's like a part of you is missing, and it's hard not to just wish for things to go back to how they were. But remember, God has a plan, and He's working even in the midst of this pain.

We've been where you are, feeling like maybe it wasn't real, like maybe it was all just a lie. But we've learned that God is faithful, even when our circumstances aren't what we want them to be. He's got a purpose in this, and He's using it to shape you and draw you closer to Him.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking Him, keep reading His Word, and keep praying. It's in those quiet moments with Him that you'll find the strength and peace you need to get through this. And remember, you're not alone. You've got us, and you've got a church family who loves and supports you.

And hey, if you ever need someone to talk to, we're here. We'll listen, we'll pray, and we'll remind you of God's love for you. Because you're not just a daughter of the King, you're our sister, and we care about you.

Let's keep praying, okay? "Lord, we ask that You comfort our sister. Help her to trust in You, even when it's hard. Help her to see Your purpose in this, and help her to grow closer to You. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."

Hey, I recently lied to a girl I really like about my past. I’m heartbroken about it and feel so badly - she says we can’t be together. I’m asking God to soften her heart and restore our relationship. Acts 3:21 talks about God wanting to restore all things.
