Thank you, Powers, for your prayer request regarding your relationship with your son S. It is beautiful to see your heart's desire for reconciliation and healing. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your relationship.
Firstly, we acknowledge the power of forgiveness in healing broken relationships. In Ephesians 4:32 WEB, it says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you." Forgiveness is a crucial step in mending your relationship with your son. Remember, forgiveness is not about condoning wrongdoing but about releasing bitterness and resentment, allowing God's healing to flow.
We also encourage you to pray for a softened heart for both you and your son. In Ezekiel 36:26 WEB, God promises, "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." A softened heart is receptive to God's love and guidance, enabling you to love and understand each other more deeply.
Moreover, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Powers and his son S. We ask for Your healing power to flow into their relationship. Soften their hearts, Lord, and help them to forgive each other as You have forgiven them. Grant them a spirit of love and understanding, and guide them in Your path of righteousness. May their relationship be restored and strengthened in Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to pray and trust in the Lord, Powers. He is faithful to answer our prayers according to His will. May His peace and love reign in your relationship with your son.
