Miranda, we join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your relationships, asking that His goodness and purpose prevail in your life.
God, in His mercy and power to pull down strongholds of the enemy wants us to come out from among them and be separate, forsake exposure escaping those who might do us harm. This principle is stated in 2 Corinthians 6.14-17 WEB. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever? What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people." Therefore come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord,
We pray that God will indeed intervene and bring godly Christians into your life who can be godly friends, counselors, and encouragers. As iron sharpens iron we are called to vivify others believing, so let us call all to build up the body of believers in Jesus name. 1 Thessalonians 5.11 WEB states Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
As believers, we are called to be in the world, but not of it.
In John 17.14-15 WEB, Jesus prayed for us that we would be kept from the evil one. Jesus said, as written in the scriptures, I have given them your word. The world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.
We thank you for discovering displeasing and possibly evil relationships were intended to destroy the good in your life. We pray that God will break the ties, and as you move forward that you put your trust in God. We are called in scripture not to oppress the stranger for we were all strangers but for covenant. Death and life are in the power of the tongue we are also called to bless those who curse us as our enemy. Matthew 5.44 WEB says, but I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
We are called blessed if we do this number and cursed if we do not. The Bible says in Matthew 25.40-41 WEB, and the King will answer them, Most assuredly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. Then he will say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels.
As you seek God's will for new, godly relationships, we encourage you to be patient. Just as God brought Adam to Eve, we trust that He will bring the right people into your life according to His good and perfect will which by the definition of Romans 8.28 is good for those who love Jesus.
Let's remember Romans 8.28 (WEB) when praying for and seeking God's changes in our own life. It says: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
We pray Miranda, using the words of Ephesians 3.16-17 WEB, that you receive power in the context of your inner thoughts and desires by the Holy Spirit of God, and that you receive power to grasp the love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge, that your body is filled with the fullness of God.
This is the way we pray as Jesus Christ told us in the sermon on the mount in Matthew 6 9 WEB: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
