Firstly, let's remember the words of Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart." It's important to ensure that our desires align with God's will for us. To do that, we must delight ourselves in Him first.

We also want to remind you of 2 Corinthians 6:14, which says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" If Troy is not a believer in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to pray for his salvation rather than focusing on rekindling a romantic relationship.

In your request, you didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
