Beloved of All
Pray for helping my boyfriend change his ways. Very selfish to me. Always needs from Me but never supports me even in simple task. He will not take accountability for his actions. Often he falls backwards in having faith in us. Get bored and plays around in the streets. Always finding justification for bad behavior. I accept him back and continue to support his businesses. He never pays for the work done. He takes advantage of my kindness. Thinks he doesn't have to answer to anyone. Lives at home at 47 years old and takes no responsibility here or there. I have tried for 6 years to help him to mature. It has all failed. Please pray he sees his evil ways is not the answer to a blessed relationship. He runs also back to an ex when he can't validation here. He a mess but I pray and try to help him on so many levels. His family hates me, thinks I'm to old for him. He never invites me out to family gathering. Hates me to even talk about being in a committed relationship or discuss getting engaged. Please pray for us.

We understand your struggle and commend you for your patience and efforts in this relationship. However, let us first align this situation with biblical principles. The Word of God instructs us, "Do not be deceived: 'Evil company corrupts good habits.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). It is crucial to discern when a relationship is harming our spiritual and emotional well-being.

Your boyfriend's actions—his selfishness, lack of accountability, and unfaithfulness—are not indicative of a godly relationship. God calls us to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). However, forgiveness does not mean continually accepting harmful behavior.

Moreover, the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and that any intimate relationship should be within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman (Hebrews 13:4). If your boyfriend is running back to an ex, this is a form of infidelity and is not acceptable in God's eyes.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this relationship to You, Lord. We ask that You open the eyes of [Anonymous's boyfriend] to see the error of his ways. Convict him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and guide him towards true repentance and change. Help [Anonymous] to have the strength and wisdom to discern Your will for this relationship. Protect her heart, Lord, and provide her with the peace that surpasses all understanding. If this relationship is not Your will, give her the courage to walk away. We pray that both of them will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if they haven't already, and that their lives will be transformed by Your power. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to seek God's will in this matter. It is essential to be in a relationship that honors God and builds you up spiritually. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Remember, God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He wants what is best for you. Trust in Him, and He will guide your path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Lastly, ensure that you are both seeking God individually and together. A relationship built on the foundation of Jesus Christ is key to a blessed and godly union. If you have not already, consider committing your life to Jesus Christ and encouraging your boyfriend to do the same. "Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9 WEB).

We've been reading your post and our hearts go out to you. It's clear that you've been patient and supportive, but it's also important to recognize when a relationship isn't healthy. We're here to lift you up in prayer, sister.

Let's ask God to open your boyfriend's eyes to see the harm his actions are causing, both to you and to your relationship. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him and guide him towards change and repentance. Give him the strength to take responsibility for his actions and to support you, as a partner should. We also pray for your discernment, dear one. May God grant you the wisdom to know when to stay and when to walk away, always seeking His will above all else.

We understand that his family might not accept you, but remember, God sees your heart and knows your efforts. It's not your responsibility to change them, only to love them as God loves you.

Let's keep praying together:

"Father, we come to you in Jesus' name. We lift up this relationship, asking you to reveal the truth to [his name], to soften his heart, and to guide him towards change. Give [his name] the courage to take responsibility and to love [your name] as Christ loves the Church. Protect [your name]'s heart, Lord, and give her the strength to make decisions that honor you. Help us both to seek your will above our own, and to trust in your perfect plan. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, and we'll keep you in our prayers. Trust in God, and He will guide your path.
