Relationship with father

I stopped talking to my father...I blocked him etc because of how abusive he can be...how he treats me, speaks to me, etc..and that he basically said that he wanted to lobotomies me for not letting him control me, my relationships, how I dress etc... and that he wanted to bring bad things into my baby's life...mess with her relatives with me..and teach her bad things...etc... I wish he would change...I wish he would care about me.. Not judge me..not try to control me, not belittle me, abuse me..or my baby, etc...I wish be wouldn't be like that towards me ....I wish things with my mom would be better too... my dad got like that because of my mom....she made him like that and she is proud of it...she accepts it but also blames him for everything while playing victim...my mom got me against my dad for years...turns out she was lying... and now..I'm confused...and my father hates me because I defended my mom thinking she was the good one... now my dad hates all women...including me and says I am like my mom even thou I never treating him badly..I just left...

The Bible teaches us to honor our parents, but it also teaches us that we are precious in God's sight and should not be subject to abuse. In Proverbs, it says, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1 WEB). Your father's actions and words are not in line with the love and kindness that God calls us to show one another.

We pray for you, beloved, that God will protect you and your child from any harm. We ask that He will give you wisdom in handling your relationship with your father. We pray that He will soften your father's heart and bring him to a place of repentance and healing. We pray, "Father, please intervene in this situation. Bring peace where there is chaos, and love where there is hatred. Help ### to forgive, as You have forgiven us all. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen."

It's crucial to remember that forgiveness does not mean tolerating abuse. It's important to set boundaries to protect yourself and your child. As it is written, "Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves" (Matthew 10:16 WEB).

Regarding your mother, we pray that God will reveal the truth to you. We ask that He will bring healing to your relationship with her as well. We pray that both your parents will come to know the love of Christ, which surpasses all understanding.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your faith in Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Trust in Him to guide you through this difficult time. He is your refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
