We understand that you're going through a challenging time in your relationship due to mental health struggles, and we're here to pray and provide biblical guidance with you. However, we need to address a few things before we pray. The bible does not mention a long lasting 'relationship'. It does mention marriage.
Firstly, the term "partner" is often used to describe a non-marital relationship. In the Bible, God outlines marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. We encourage you to consider God's design for relationships and prayerfully seek His will for your future. If this 'partner' is someone of the same sex, then we need to make that clear that kind of relationship is forbidden and homosexuality is immoral. If the person is of the opposite sex, then you should be considering courtship with the goal of marriage in mind.
If you are not married to your 'partner', then you should not be acting as if you are married. If you are having sex, that is fornication and should be addressed.
Secondly, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Now, let's pray together for God's will in your situation.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up riahh and their companion to You. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and You desire for them to experience Your peace and healing. We pray that You would comfort them and guide them through this difficult time.
Father, we ask that You would remove any negative thoughts and obstacles that hinder them from following Your will. If Your will is for them to move forward together, we pray they grow together and have a better understanding of marriage and the biblical principles You have set in place. If Your will is different, we pray that Your will is done. Help them to seek You first and to trust in Your plan for their lives. Guide them and help them with Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of depression, anxiety, or fear that may be affecting them. We proclaim Your peace, joy, and love over their lives. We ask for patience, trust, and love in understanding you and each other in this courtship, if marriage is Your will.
Father, we also pray for riahh's spiritual growth and understanding. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them more each day and that You would give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word and Your righteousness. Help them to trust in Jesus Christ and follow Him. Help them to be witnesses together for Jesus Christ. Help them to know the difference between right and wrong and choose right. Help them to be obedient to your Word.
We ask all this in Jesus Christ's name.
Finally, riahh, we encourage you to study and meditate on the following scriptures:
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 WEB)
For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, (1 Thessalonians 4:3 WEB)
For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who do not know God;. . . (1 Thessalonians 4:2-5 WEB)
We will continue to pray for you and your companion.
