We understand that you're going through a challenging time in your relationship, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, let's address the issue of honesty and past relationships. It's important to remember that honesty is a key biblical principle. In Ephesians 4:25 WEB, it is written, "Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another."
However, it's also crucial to understand that past physical intimacy outside of marriage is considered fornication, which is sinful according to biblical principles.
We acknowledge God's forgiveness and desire to restore. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 WEB, it says, "Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."
Regarding the issue of Jesus Christ, when someone asks for prayer they should know in whose name they are asking prayer whether they realize it or not. In John 14:6 WEB, it says, "Jesus said to him, ""I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.""".
Our advice is to seek God's will in this situation. It's possible that this man is not the one God has intended for you, especially if he is not showing love and forgiveness as Christ teaches. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB, it says, "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is facing this difficult situation. We pray that You will grant her peace and guidance during this time. Help her to understand Your will for her life and to trust in Your loving kindness. We ask two things for ## in Jesus Christ's name. First, we pray that he will accept and love her in a manner Christ loves each of us. Second, if his behavior does not change, we pray that you will take him out of her life.
Lord, we also pray for ##, that You will soften his heart and help him to extend forgiveness and love as You do. We pray that Your will be done in their lives, and that You will guide them both in the path of righteousness.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
