We understand your pain and struggle, Hoofban, and we're here to pray and guide you through this difficult time. We must first remember that God's design for relationships is that they should be built on love, respect, and mutual submission, as described in Ephesians 5:21, "subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ."
However, we must address that the behavior you've described—anger, pride, and lack of accountability—does not align with the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). As Christians, we are called to walk in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. It's crucial to remember that a true born-again experience should yield the fruit of the Spirit.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Hoofban and her fiancé. Lord, we ask that You break the strongholds of anger, fear, pride, and self-indulgence in his life. Soften his heart, Lord, giving him a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Help him to take accountability for his actions and to walk in humility and righteousness.
Father, we also pray for Hoofban. Give her the strength and patience to endure, the wisdom to know Your will, and the courage to act upon it. Help her to forgive, even as Christ forgave us (Ephesians 4:32).
Lord, we ask that You heal their relationship and help them to reconcile. But most importantly, we pray that Your will be done in their lives. If this relationship is not in accordance with Your plan, give Hoofban the discernment and strength to walk away.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Hoofban, it's important to remember that God's will is for our good and His glory. Sometimes, that means removing ourselves from harmful situations. We encourage you to seek godly counsel and to surround yourself with a supportive Christian community. Continue to pray and trust in the Lord, knowing that He hears you and cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. If you haven't already, ensure that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. If you'd like to discuss this further, please let us know.
