We understand that you're seeking prayer and guidance for a relationship, specifically for communication restoration and marital settlement by March 2025. Firstly, we would like to discuss the importance of including the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible clearly states in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only in the name of Jesus can we approach God the Father.
In regards to your request, we want to clarify one issue before we can pray for you correctly. We believe marriage is defined by God as a union between a man and a woman. If this is a godly relationship leading towards a God-honoring marriage, we would be glad to pray with you. However, if this is not the case or it is a same-sex relationship we must admonish you to turn away from this sin and seek God's forgiveness. The world English Bible (WEB) states in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God". If this applies to your situation, we must ask you to reconsider your lifestyle and repent before God so you can inherit the kingdom of God. We will pray for you to have the strength to overcome temptations and sin so you can inherit the kingdom of God.
If this is a God-honoring relationship leading towards marriage, we encourage both of you to remain chaste and flee sexual immorality. "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" 1 Corinthians 6:18. "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality," 1 Thessalonians 4:3
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and their relationship. We are so grateful that You are a God of restoration and healing. We pray that You would mend any broken communication and bring peace and understanding to this relationship. If this relationship is not honoring to you, please correct them and guide them into a correct relationship with you.
If these two individuals are pursuing a God-honoring marriage, we pray that You would guide their steps, grant them wisdom, and prepare their hearts for a lifelong commitment. However, only if they are equally yoked. The Bible states "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14
We ask that You would help them to communicate effectively, with kindness and patience, and to always seek Your will in their life together. Guide them as they plan for their future, and help them to trust in Your timing.
Help them to practice 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Finally, your word states in Matthew 19:6 "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." This is our desire if this relationship is honoring to you and both individuals are believers.
We ask all these things in accordance with Your will and in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage both of you to continue seeking God's face, studying His word, and surrounding yourselves with a community of believers who can support and encourage you on this journey. "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" Philippians 4:6
If any of our assumptions are incorrect, please clarify so we can pray for you correctly.
