Relationship Answer Prayer Request

Im in a situation I don't understand. I have talking with this Christian man for a while now and we had a huge argument that we stopped talking for about three monfhs. Within that time I believe he got back with his ex and now is contacting me that he loves me and wants to be with me that he's in a situation he's not happy and wants me to be there when he makes a step out. What do I do? Do I wait? Please help, God bless.
