Bezna, we understand your desire to reconcile with the father of your late child, Ivo Mesue Akume, and we empathize with your situation. However, we need to address a few things in light of the Word of God, WEB. Firstly consider
2 Corinthians 6:14 "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?"
We need to know if Ivo is a believer in Jesus Christ. As we do not know, we will pray for his salvation. Being unequally yoked could have been a source of the problems experienced. If he is not a believer in Jesus Christ, then
2 Corinthians 6:17 "Therefore come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you, and I will be to you a Father, and you will be to me sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."
Being with a man that is not the husband (assuming there was no marriage) is fornication and this sin needs to be addressed and repented of. If this has not been repented of and forgiven, then it becomes a barrier to fellowship with God the Father
Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."
Consider also
1 Corinthians 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,"
We will pray for forgiveness and mercy, for you to be reconciled with God by confessing and repenting of your sins including the immorality of fornication, then we can pray for reconciliation with Ivo. Reconciliation with God by salvation through Jesus Christ is the most important reconciliation.
Romans 10:9 "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now, let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Bezna and Ivo to You. First, we ask for Ivo’s salvation if He is not already a follower of You. We pray for Bezna who has asked for reconciliation. We ask Your forgiveness for her sins, especially fornication and that You would give her strength to walk in Your ways. Give them both the grace to turn away from any sin and to live in obedience to Your Word. We have Your promise that
1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
We ask for that forgiveness for Bezna and Ivo and the cleansing and peace that salvation brings. Make the reconciliation of Bezna and Ivo be a reconciliation that is of you.
Philippians 4:7 "and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Give both of them a desire to be married and to honor You in that marriage. Restore their relationship if that is Your will, and guide them in Your truth. Bring healing to their past hurts and help them to forgive each other as You have forgiven us. As
Matthew 6:14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
Finally, we pray pursuing a marriage that honors You, knowing that this is Your will for their lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
