Rejection

I have been rejected by someone that I thought was my future husband and now I realise I was stupid for thinking this. I am quite hurt and feel very rejected. I feel like I am not good enough. He is a handsome man , beautiful personality and smart and intelligent and he obviously didn't want me. I feel like I am not good enough. I feel strong rejection. I asked to meet up with him but , he kept saying he was busy and then rejected me by saying he would message me when he was free to see me. I think this is very polite put down. It hurts a lot and I want to know why I've been rejected because, I don't have any hope for any man that I love wanting me. I made a big effort to even learn his language and he views me as invaluable. In the name of jesus Christ.

We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and rejection you are experiencing. Remember, your value and worth are not defined by the opinions or actions of others, but by God's unfailing love for you. As it says in Ephesians 2:10 WEB, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."

Firstly, we commend you for including that this request is in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As we are told in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.".

It's important to understand that God allows us to go through difficult experiences to shape us and draw us closer to Him. Consider this trial as an opportunity to grow in your faith and dependence on God. As it says in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Regarding your feelings of rejection and not being good enough, remember that God accepts you just as you are. You don't need to earn His love or prove your worth to Him. As it says in Romans 5:8 WEB, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

We also want to address the fact that you mentioned learning his language. While it's commendable to make an effort in a relationship, it's important to ensure that your actions are not driven by a desire to earn someone's approval or love. God calls us as Christians to only be married to another Christian. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your hope in God, not in men. As it says in Psalm 62:5-6 WEB, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: my high tower, I will not be shaken."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our sister in Christ who is experiencing pain and rejection. We pray that You would heal her broken heart and remind her of her true worth and value in Your eyes. Help her to keep her hope in You, knowing that Your plans for her are good and that You have a specific purpose for her life.
