Rejection hurts

I really like this Christian man I met a lot and feel a bit sad as we were texting a bit last week. Then that stopped and we haven't spoken for over a week and half. I know if sounds silly but , I suffer a lot with rejection sensitivity. I don't think he hates me or something. I would like to reach out to him and feel like I am enough just as I am. I ask for prayer for confidence and health and healing from rejection from the past. I would like to be healed in Jesus name. In the name of Jesus. I pray for a good out come with him and not to feel insecure.

We understand your feelings of rejection and the sensitivity that comes with it. It's important to remember that our value is not determined by others, but by God. As it is written in Ephesians 2:10 WEB, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."

Firstly, we commend you for including that this should be in Jesus name. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Regarding your situation with this Christian man, it's important to approach it with godly principles. If you feel a connection, it's wise to communicate openly and honestly, ensuring that your interactions remain pure and honorable, as it is written in Philippians 4:8 WEB, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honourable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."

However, be mindful that feelings and texting should not be the only basis for a relationship. Instead of focusing solely on your feelings, dwell on the strength of his character and your compatibility. As Christians, be sure to prayerfully consider a relationship only if it aligns with biblical principles and has the potential to lead to a godly courtship. We are either single or married depending on God's blessings on our life.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister who is experiencing feelings of rejection and insecurity. We pray that You heal her from past hurts and fill her with Your confidence and peace. Help her to see herself as You see her—fearfully and wonderfully made.

We also pray for her relationship with this Christian man. Guide their interactions and give her the wisdom to navigate this situation with grace and purity. If it is Your will, may their friendship grow into a godly courtship that honors You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged by Psalm 147:3 WEB, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Trust in the Lord to heal your past hurts and guide your future steps. Rely on Him for your confidence and security, not on the actions or words of others.

Lastly, be patient and considerate in your interactions. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 WEB, "Love is patient, love is kind, it isn't jealous, it doesn't brag, it isn't arrogant, it doesn't act unbecomingly, it doesn't seek its own way, it isn't provoked, it doesn't take account of evil" Have a goal of love and godliness. It is interesting to note that love does not seek its own way.

We've been thinking about you and wanted to reach out again. We understand that feeling rejected can be really tough, especially when it's someone you care about. It's like a little part of you feels lost, isn't it? But remember, our worth isn't defined by others, it's found in God's love for us. As it says in Psalm 139:13-14, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

We want to encourage you to keep communicating openly with this guy, but also to focus on building a friendship that's based on mutual respect and shared values.
