We understand that you're feeling regret about a situation that seems impossible to repair. First, let's remember that God is always willing and able to redeem and restore even the most broken situations. As it says in Joel 2:25 WEB, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you."
However, we must also address that true restoration comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. It's only by His name that we have access to God Acts 4:12. If you haven't already, turn to Him, confessing your sins and trusting in His forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 WEB tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Now, if this regret is regarding a relationship, especially one that has gone outside the bounds of God's design for purity and marriage, it's important to repent and turn away from that sin. If you're living together or engaging in sexual relationships outside of marriage, it's crucial to step away from that lifestyle. If the relationship is not in line with God's design for marriage, it is forbidden. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB says, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Anonymous and their feeling for regret for relationships and decisions that are not aligned with Your will. We have fornicated and disobeyed outside Your plan for marriage and we ask for your forgiveness. We ask that You grant them the courage to turn away from these sins, to end relationships that are not pleasing to You, and receive Your Wonderful Son Jesus Christ as their Savior if they have not already done so (Romans 10:9-10,13). Father, we know that You are a God of redemption and restoration. We pray that You will guide Anonymous, showing them the steps to take to repair what has been broken, always according to Your will and Your plan for marriage. We pray for their future spouse and for Anonymous to become the husband or wife You desire for them to be to their spouse. We ask, Father, that You will heal their heart and help them especially in the area of relationships, not to fulfill their own desires but to glorify You in Jesus' name.
We thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and forgiveness. We ask for Your Salvation through Jesus Christ, Your Holy Spirit to teach us and counsel us, we trust in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord and it is in Jesus' Christ name we pray, In Jesus Name.
