Archothen, we are with you in spirit, praying for God's healing and wisdom to overcome the effects of abuse in your life and family. We stand against the evil of abuse and the damage it causes, and we seek God's will together in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we commend you for bringing this to God, as He is the ultimate healer. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. The Bible tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Therefore, we pray in Jesus' name and encourage you to do the same.
In times of distress and pain, God promises to be with us and heal us. Psalm 34:18 WEB says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We pray that you and your family will experience God's comfort and healing presence.
Abuse can cause deep wounds, but God can heal even the most painful experiences. Psalm 147:3 WEB tells us that God "heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We pray that God will mend your heart and the hearts of your family members, bringing complete restoration.
We also pray for wisdom, as you have requested. James 1:5 WEB says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." We ask God to grant you and your family the wisdom needed to overcome the effects of abuse and to break any cycles of abuse that may exist.
Additionally, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or Christian community. Romans 12:15 WEB tells us to "Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep." Galatians 6:2 WEB says, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." It is essential to have a support system that can help bear your burdens and provide practical guidance.
Finally, we pray for the abuser, that God would convict their heart and bring them to repentance. Matthew 5:44 WEB says, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," Remember that forgiveness does not mean allowing abuse to continue. Forgiveness is for yourself, you do not have to forget or allow abuse to continue.
Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we lift up Archothen and their family, asking for Your healing, wisdom, and comfort. Break the chains of abuse and bring restoration to their hearts and minds. Convict the abuser and bring them to repentance. Surround this family with Your love and protection. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. as a group we also pray, "Lord God, may your name be praised for everlasting."
