We are truly sorry to hear about the financial struggle you've been facing due to this business venture. We commend your faith in Jesus, as He is our only hope and provider. It's important to remember that our Lord warns us to be wise in our financial dealings. We read in Proverbs 22:7 WEB: "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." Moreover, entering into a business agreement with someone who has proven to be dishonest is not prudent. It is clear that this person does not follow biblical principles. Psalm 37:21 WEB: "The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously." This is sinful and there is no faith in Jesus Christ or justice of God in his actions.
We must also consider the biblical principles of lending and investing. The Bible advises us to be cautious and wise in our financial dealings. It also warns against making hasty decisions without proper documentation or witnesses, as seen in Proverbs 22:26-27 WEB: "Don’t you be among those who strike hands, among those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?"
Let's pray together for guidance and resolution:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family who has found themselves in a dire financial situation due to a dishonest business dealing. We pray that You would convict the heart of the person who deceived them, and bring him to repentance and restitution. We ask that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and guide them to make wise financial decisions moving forward.
We pray for a miraculous recovery of the money invested as only You can do. You know the heart and intentions of the one who deceitfully took advantage of this family, have the conscience of this dishonest businessman bother him until he makes right with them. Only by Jesus Christ can there be restoration. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place." 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB
We pray they will be justly compensated for the wrong that has been done to them. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name. And we give you glory and praise forever and ever amen.
In this time of need, continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. Keep praying and seeking God's will in all things, and remember that He is faithful to provide for His children.
We also admonish that if this was a loan and not a gift, then it should be treated like a loan.
