Reconnection and reunion

Lord, You are the author of relationships, the healer of hearts, and the restorer of what has been lost. Today, I lift up my desire for reconnection with ### ### ###. I ask that You open the doors for a reunion. Soften our hearts, remove any misunderstandings, and heal any wounds that may have come between us. Let Your love and wisdom guide our paths back to each other. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for this situation. We appreciate that the request was submitted in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father.

Firstly, let's consider the biblical principles for relationships. If this involves a former spouse, we should remember that God allows for divorce in extreme cases under the law of Moses due to the hardness of the heart of the people. However, God's original intent and ideal is for a lifelong union between a man and a woman. God can heal and restore relationships, as seen in Hosea's marriage to Gomer, but both parties must be willing to follow God's will and live according to biblical principles. If this involves a former boyfriend or girlfriend rather than a spouse, we should remember that the goal of such relationships should be marriage. We should strongly encourage courtship rather than a never-ending cycle of dating and then breaking-up. This should be a time of getting to know each other better, and the relationship must be pure and honoring to God, reserving sexual intimacy for marriage.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our ### who desires reconnection and reunion. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. We pray that You open the doors for a reunion only if it aligns with Your will and the biblical principles for relationships. We ask Jesus, You soften both of their hearts and remove any misunderstandings, bitterness, or wounds that may have come between them. We pray to You, God to heal any past hurts and guide their paths. We pray that You grant them both discernment to understand Your will for their lives and the obedience to follow Your will for their lives and not their own.

We remember that the reconnection and reunion is only possible if both parties have confessed their sins and surrendered to Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. We must remember that there is no other name by which we can be saved and that God desires that everyone repent of their sins and be saved.

If there is any sin in this relationship, Lord, we ask You to reveal it to them and grant them the courage to address it according to Your word. Help them to live in purity and holiness, honoring You in all they do.

We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to trust in God's perfect plan for your life. Remember that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Seek His will above your own desires, and He will guide your paths.

If there is any sexual immorality in this relationship, it is vital that it stops immediately. Sexual immorality is a sin against the body, and your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Sexual immorality is a sin against God. We must flee sexual immorality.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.

Lord, we lift this person to you today and ask that you mend their relationships. Please guide them into your abundant blessings and draw them closer to you so that they may hear your small voice obey your direction and guidance. We ask you to allow them to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you. Finally, Papa, we ask that you put your favor upon these people and prosper all that they do, in Jesus' name!

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
