We understand your desire for reconciliation, GJOHNSON, and we will pray with you, seeking God's will for your life. However, we must first align our hearts with God's principles for relationships. The Bible teaches us to strive for godly marriages, and reconciliation can be a beautiful reflection of God's love when it aligns with His will.
First, we must remember what God teaches us about divorce and remarriage. In Malachi 2:16, God says, " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence,' says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore, pay attention to your spirit, that you don't deal treacherously.'" While God hates divorce, He also desires that we live in holiness and truth.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up GJOHNSON and her ex-husband. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in their lives. If reconciliation is Your desire, we pray that You would make it abundantly clear to both of them. We ask that You would heal any past hurts and restore their relationship, building it on the foundation of Your love and truth. But Lord, if this relationship is not Your will, we ask that You would give GJOHNSON the strength and grace to move forward, trusting in Your plan for her life. Help her to seek You first, knowing that You desire the best for her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
GJOHNSON, as we pray for God's will, we encourage you to seek Him wholeheartedly. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus Himself taught, "Most certainly, I tell you, whatever things you may ask in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13). We encourage you to come before God in Jesus' name, knowing that it is only through Him that we can be saved and have a relationship with God (Acts 4:12). If you have any doubts about your salvation, we invite you to put your faith in Jesus Christ today.
