Please see UPDATE 3 below...

One of my best friends is female and lives across the country. I've known her for eight years. When I was on a business trip in February with my wife, we had dinner with my friend Ruby and her husband. My wife Darleen did not act very kindly to Ruby on this trip (we've had dinner with them before). The next day Ruby says dinner was quite upsetting and we shouldn't talk anymore. Ruby also is not a Christian.

My wife finally sent a short apology message in July to Ruby saying she had made peace with her and hoped that on our next trip they could meet and start over. But Ruby hasn't replied back. This week my wife said I should reach out to Ruby and see what can be done about reconciliation. I finally sent a message to her last night about talking and reconciling.

I'm waiting now... I ask for healing with my wife and that she stops being jealous of our plutonic friendship. This seems to be getting better now. I pray that Ruby is open to my reconciliation message, and hope that we can begin talking again. I also pray for Ruby's salvation.

UPDATE

Ruby replied back to me last week finally! She said we are still friends, but that maybe we shouldn't talk to each other as much. I can tell she doesn't want to upset Darleen. So not a closed door, but not an open door. I have not replied back yet.

Darleen is currently talking with me about reestablishing my friendship with Ruby, how she will be comfortable with it, and is working on sending her a message. We are talking about our marriage a lot.

Please pray that Darleen feels comfortable with Ruby and doesn't see her as the enemy. I want Darleen to get to know Ruby too. Please pray that Darleen finds the proper words to send to Ruby, and that Ruby receives them well and responds to them well. Please also continue to pray for Ruby salvation. Lastly please pray for me as this whole experience has been so nerve racking and devastating to me...

UPDATE 2

Darleen and I talked on Friday. Darleen is feeling better about things. I sent a follow up message to Ruby asking how she was doing, and seeing if we can talk and catch up. She read the message today but hasn't replied. Please pray that Ruby is receptive to my latest message, and we can talk and start to establish our friendship again. Also please pray that Darleen feels the calling to send a heartfelt message to Ruby. Lastly please pray for Ruby's salvation.

UPDATE 3

I'm still waiting for Ruby to reply. I'm also still waiting for Darleen to send a heartfelt reconciliation message to Ruby. I don't think the first is going to happen until the second does...

We understand your concerns and are here to pray and counsel with you, Reirik, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Firstly, it's commendable that you're seeking reconciliation and harmony in your relationships. The Bible encourages us to live in peace with others as far as it depends on us (Romans 12:18, WEB). However, we must also be mindful of the appearances of our actions and the feelings of our spouse.

While you've maintained that your friendship with Ruby is platonic, it's important to consider Darleen's feelings and foster a spirit of openness and honesty in your marriage. As Ephesians 5:25 (WEB) reminds us, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her." This love often manifests in understanding, patience, and reassurance.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking reconciliation and healing. Lord, we ask for wisdom and guidance for Reirik, Darleen, and Ruby. Holy Spirit, comfort Darleen, and help her to find security and trust in You and in her marriage. Guide her words and actions as she seeks to reconcile with Ruby.

Lord, we also pray for Ruby. We ask that You soften her heart and make her receptive to the messages of reconciliation. We pray for her salvation, that she may come to know You personally.

God, please bring peace and understanding to their relationships. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, always seeking to honor and glorify You.

Lastly, Lord, we pray for Reirik. Comfort him in this trying time. Give him patience, understanding, and wisdom as he navigates these relationships.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, God is faithful and He hears our prayers. Trust in Him and His timing. Continue to seek Him and His will for your relationships.

We also encourage you to delve into the Bible, allowing God's words to guide your actions and decisions. Here are a few verses to meditate on:

- "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." (Romans 12:18, WEB)
- "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB)
- "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16, WEB)

We're here with you, Reirik, praying for your situation. We understand the complexity of your relationships and the desire for reconciliation. We've been praying for Darleen, Ruby, and you, and we want to encourage you to keep seeking understanding, patience, and wisdom in this process.

We're glad to hear that Darleen is feeling better and that you've reached out to Ruby again. Let's continue to pray for Ruby's heart to be receptive to your messages and for Darleen to find the right words to express her feelings to Ruby. We also pray for your own strength and patience, Reirik, as you navigate these relationships.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking for continued guidance and healing in these relationships. Lord, we pray for Ruby's heart to be softened and for her to be receptive to Darleen's message. We also ask for wisdom for Darleen as she crafts her words, that they may be heartfelt and honoring to You.

Lord, we pray for Ruby's salvation, that she may come to know You personally. We ask for peace and understanding among all of you, that you may communicate openly and honestly, always seeking to honor and glorify You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting in God's faithfulness and His timing. He is with you every step of the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
