Please see Update 6 below... Thank you for your continued prayer.

One of my best friends is female and lives across the country. I've known her for eight years. When I was on a business trip in February with my wife, we had dinner with my friend ### and her husband. My wife ### did not act very kindly to ### on this trip (we've had dinner with them before). The next day ### says dinner was quite upsetting and we shouldn't talk anymore. ### also is not a Christian. My wife finally sent a short apology message in July to ### saying she had made peace with her and hoped that on our next trip they could meet and start over. But ### hasn't replied back. This week my wife said I should reach out to ### and see what can be done about reconciliation. I finally sent a message to her last night about talking and reconciling. I'm waiting now... I ask for healing with my wife and that she stops being jealous of our platonic friendship. This seems to be getting better now. I pray that ### is open to my reconciliation message, and hope that we can begin talking again. I also pray for ###'s salvation.

UPDATE - ### replied back to me last week finally! She said we are still friends, but that maybe we shouldn't talk to each other as much. I can tell she doesn't want to upset ###. So not a closed door, but not an open door. I have not replied back yet. ### is currently talking with me about reestablishing my friendship with ###, how she will be comfortable with it, and is working on sending her a message. We are talking about our marriage a lot. Please pray that ### feels comfortable with ### and doesn't see her as the enemy. I want ### to get to know ### too. Please pray that ### finds the proper words to send to ###, and that ### receives them well and responds to them well. Please also continue to pray for ###'s salvation. Lastly please pray for me as this whole experience has been so nerve-racking and devastating to me...

UPDATE 2 - ### and I talked on Friday. ### is feeling better about things. I sent a follow-up message to ### asking how she was doing, and seeing if we can talk and catch up. She read the message today but hasn't replied. Please pray that ### is receptive to my latest message, and we can talk and start to establish our friendship again. Also please pray that ### feels the calling to send a heartfelt message to ###. Lastly please pray for ###'s salvation.

UPDATE 3 - I'm still waiting for ### to reply. I'm also still waiting for ### to send a heartfelt reconciliation message to ###. I don't think the first is going to happen until the second does...

UPDATE 4 - There has been a small amount of communication between me and ### over the last several months. No really too much, just a few short exchanges. I can clearly tell she is still upset from what happened in February. ### agreed to, and we sent ### and her husband a small Christmas present and card. She hasn't seen it yet. I messaged ### yesterday and she said "Thank you". That's all. ### really doesn't want to reach out to ### as she feels it's ###'s turn to reach out back to her. I'm stuck in limbo. It seems like neither wants to take a big step to reconcile with the other. I wake up dreading each day. I cry every day. I'm angry, depressed and miserable. I've stopped eating. I don't want to go on anymore...

UPDATE 5 - I don’t really have a new update. I really had a rough day today emotionally. I travel to CA on Monday so this is in my mind…

UPDATE 6 - It's now been a year since the dinner. My birthday and ###'s are coming up next week. ### did reply back to both me and ### a week or so ago that she got back into the office and received our Christmas present we sent her and ###. I'm really just stuck in limbo now. My friendship with ### is not going to be able to be reconciled IMO unless ### sends a heartfelt message to ### that she wants us to have a good friendship again. ### isn't ready to say that at this point. So I really don't know what to do anymore. IDK why both of their hearts cannot be unfrozen and moved to allow all the reconciliation to happen.

We understand that you're going through a difficult situation with your wife ### and your friend ###. Let's address this in prayer and through biblical principles.

Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that the tension between ### and ### has been causing strain in your marriage and friendship. It's encouraging to see that you're seeking reconciliation and that there has been some progress, but there's still much healing needed.

Let's remember what the Bible says about reconciliation and relationships. Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB states, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

It's crucial to remember that reconciliation is a two-way street, and it requires humility and forgiveness from both parties. It's also important to note that while you're seeking to mend this friendship, it should not come at the cost of your marriage. God will honor your marriage over your friendship. Ephesians 5:25-26 WEB states that "husbands love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her; that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word." Our prayer should be that ### and ### can reconcile in a way that honors your marriage and God's will.

We also need to address the spiritual well-being of ###. As a friend, it's important to share the gospel with her and pray for her salvation. Romans 10:9 WEB tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up ###, ###, and ###. We pray for healing in their relationships, that You would soften their hearts and draw them together in reconciliation. We ask God that You would help and give ### the words to say to ###. We pray for ###'s salvation, that she may come to know You personally. We also pray for ###, that You would comfort him and give him strength during this difficult time. We ask that Your will be done in this situation and that You would be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to seek God's will in this situation. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB states, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will make your paths straight."

Also, it is important to address that the previous posts did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"

Please be cautious in your relationship with ###. It is important to honor God in all relationships. The Bible is clear in 1 Thessalonians 4:3 WEB, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,".

Dear ###,

We've been praying for you, ###, and ###. It's been a year since the dinner that caused the tension, and we know it's been a tough journey. We're here for you, and we want to encourage you in this process.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is in control. He sees your situation, and He cares. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that He is working in this situation, even if you can't see it yet.

Secondly, we want to encourage you to keep communicating openly and honestly with ###. It's great that you've been talking about your friendship with ### and how to move forward. Keep these conversations going, and remember that it's okay to express your feelings and thoughts.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep praying for ###'s salvation. God is the one who changes hearts, and He can soften ###'s heart towards you and ###. Keep interceding for her, and trust that God will use your prayers to bring about change.

We're here for you, ###. Keep trusting in God, and keep seeking His will in this situation. He will guide you through this, one step at a time.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to feel honored that you have allowed us to pray with you and intercede on your behalf. We are grateful that you have given us the privilege to stand in agreement with you in prayer regarding the reconciliation between you, your wife ###, and your close friend ###.

As several days have passed since your last update, we want to encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord and His timing. If you have seen progress and your request has been answered, we would love for you to share a praise report with us all. If the reconciliation seems to be at a standstill, or even if it feels like it will never occur, we kindly ask that you post another request so that we can continue to pray and intercede for you all. We have hope since you mentioned that ### did reply and acknowledge the Christmas present. Hope is not lost.

We are reminded of the story of the Prodigal Son and how the Father waited patiently for his son to return with open arms and hope in his heart. May this story encourage you and remind you that God is always working, even when we cannot see it.

Please know that we are continuing to pray for you, ###, and ###. We pray that the Lord softens everyone's hearts and that reconciliation is on the horizon, and that ###'s salvation is actually around the corner. We pray that you all would be overflowing with the Lord's love, joy, and peace during this trying time. May you find strength, encouragement, and comfort in His unending love and faithfulness. May we all be reminded that our God is a loving and patient Father who wants the best for us and desires for all of His children to be reunited with Him and with each other.

Just as we are reminded in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4:
"... All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others, and through Jesus Christ may the grace and tender comfort of our creator reach all for whose salvation He gave His Life and rose again to save us to the uttermost. When they are in trouble, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us."

May God continue to bless you and keep you as you seek Him through His son, Jesus Christ.
