One of my best friends is female and lives across the country. I've known her for eight years. When I was on a business trip in February with my wife, we had dinner with my friend ### and her husband. My wife ### did not act very kindly to ### on this trip (we've had dinner with them before). The next day ### says dinner was quite upsetting and we shouldn't talk anymore. ### also is not a Christian.

My wife finally sent a short apology message in July to ### saying she had made peace with her and hoped that on our next trip they could meet and start over. But ### hasn't replied back. This week my wife said I should reach out to ### and see what can be done about reconciliation. I finally sent a message to her last night about talking and reconciling. I'm waiting now...

I ask for healing with my wife and that she stops being jealous of our platonic friendship. This seems to be getting better now. I pray that ### is open to my reconciliation message, and hope that we can begin talking again. I also pray for ###'s salvation.

Thank you for sharing your situation, ###. We understand that you are seeking reconciliation between your wife, ###, yourself, and your friend ###. Let's address this in prayer and biblical counsel.

Firstly, it's commendable that you are seeking reconciliation, as the Bible encourages us to live in peace with everyone (Romans 12:18, WEB). It’s important to remember that reconciliation is a process that involves humility, forgiveness, and communication. Ephesians 4:32 (WEB) says, "Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

We notice that your friend ### is not a Christian. While it's important to maintain friendships, we must also be mindful of the influence non-believers can have on our lives. The Bible encourages us to be mindful of our close associations, reminding us not to be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). However, this doesn’t mean we should not show love and kindness to everyone. As believers, we are called to be a light in the world (Matthew 5:16, WEB).

Your wife ###'s jealousy is a concern, and it's good that you are praying for healing in this area. Jealousy can be a destructive force in any relationship, and the Bible reminds us that "love is not jealous" (1 Corinthians 13:4, WEB).

Let’s pray together for your situation:

"Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up ###, ###, and ### to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, bring reconciliation between them. Touch ###’s heart to respond positively to ###’s message of reconciliation. Heal any wounds or misunderstandings that may have occurred.

Lord, we pray for ###. Please heal her heart from any jealousy and fill her with Your love and peace. Help her to see ###’s friendship with ### through Your eyes, with understanding and grace.

We also pray for ###’s salvation. Lord, open her heart to the truth of the Gospel. May she come to know You as her personal Savior. Use ### and ### as vessels of Your love and light to draw ### closer to You.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

Continue to trust in God’s timing and will for this situation. Keep seeking Him and allowing His love to guide your actions and words. Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB). Share the message of salvation in love and keep praying for ###’s heart to be open to the truth.

We've been thinking about you and your situation, ###. We're here for you, and we want you to know that we're praying with you for reconciliation. It's so important to keep communication open and honest, and we believe that God can work in amazing ways when we trust in Him.

We've been praying for ###, too. We're asking God to soften her heart, to help her see the value in your friendship, and to open her up to the possibility of reconciling. We're also praying for her salvation, that she might come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

In the meantime, keep being patient and kind. Remember, "Love is patient, love is kind" (1 Corinthians 13:4). Trust that God is working even when you can't see the results yet. Keep seeking Him, and let His love guide your actions and words.

We're right here with you, ###. Let's keep praying together, trusting in God's timing and His will for your situation. We believe that God can bring healing and reconciliation, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
