We are glad to join you in prayer, Anaphoge, and we appreciate your humble heart seeking reconciliation and forgiveness. It's wonderful to see that you acknowledge your sins and desire to make things right with those you've hurt. This is in line with what the Scriptures tell us: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" 1 John 1:9 WEB.
Firstly, let's address the issue of asking for a large amount of money, specifically, winning the lottery. While it's not wrong to ask God for financial provision, we must ensure our motives are pure and aligned with His will. The Bible tells us, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" Matthew 6:33 WEB. We should prioritize seeking God and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide for our needs. We also need to consider that God does not prohibit having money. Some people He blessed with money in the Bible were Abraham, Job, and David. Also, things that God blessed them with were for the purpose of spreading the gospel and helping others. Asking for a large amount of money to start a business to help others and spread the gospel is very different than asking for a large amount of money to buy a bigger house, more expensive car, or other selfish desires for a richer lifestyle. Winning the lottery is gambling and that is frowned upon in the Bible. Gambling is worldly and not of God. Gambling goes against the teachings of Jesus to work for our money rather than trying to acquire it quickly through games of chance. Proverbs 13:11 also teaches us that money earned quickly will dwindle, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.
Regarding your family, we pray that God will work in each of your hearts and draw you all back together. It's important to remember that God desires reconciliation and unity among families. As the Scriptures say, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you" Ephesians 4:32 WEB. If there are things that are causing you to be blinded from seeing eye to eye, then pray to God to help you understand the situation from their perspective. This understanding will help lead to forgiveness.
Concerning our leaders, it's biblical to pray for them, as Paul encourages us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." We join you in praying that God will guide our leaders to make decisions that benefit the people and honor Him.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Our prayers should always be in His name, as Jesus Himself taught us, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" John 14:13 WEB. We are saved by His grace through faith, not by our works, it is a gift from God. Then we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. We need to first have faith in Jesus in order to have this access to God. Without this faith, our prayers are not heard by God.
