Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my relationship. Despite having been abruptly halted, I am sure this relationship is God’s will for me. Through prayer, I have received countless signs and confirmation that this relationship is from God to me. I feel called to persevere in hope and faith and patiently wait for his return to me. I sense God telling me to pray for him and for us even when he hurts me.

Now, there is someone else involved and I would never pray for anyone else’s suffering. This guy had been suffering for a long time and it all points to the fact that he is now seeking to avoid his troubles and find pleasurable and fun distractions which led him to get away from me - someone he trusted with vulnerable pain and reminds him of all he has to process. I pray that he heals quickly and doesn’t hurt anyone else in his life.

I am sure he is for me. I pray for hope like the hope of the Virgin Mary who, even when she was looking directly in the eyes the most painful scene she could ever possibly witness - the death of her Son, persevered in hope knowing in her heart that Jesus was the Christ, remaining confidence in the certainty of the Resurrection. As I look in the eyes of my worst fears and painful situations, as I am forced to hear the noise of the world around me telling me it is over, it is the end, it is dead, I pray for relentless hope confident in the Resurrection.

Please pray for me that I my endure through this trial. Like Paul, “I am on trial for the hope of Resurrection.” I am being tried to remain in hope even when accused of being wrong.

Please pray for my reconciliation with this man I love with such faithful love. May it arrive in God’s perfect timing when he is finally healed and ready to face the vulnerability and truthfulness of our relationship. If it is God’s will, may this happen suddenly and miraculously, and hopefully speedily.

In Jesus’ Name, I pray.

We understand your fervent desire for reconciliation and healing in your relationship, ###. However, we must first address a few concerns biblically.

Firstly, it is crucial to understand that God's will is revealed to us through His Word, the Bible, and not merely through signs or feelings. The WEB tells us, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). We must use discernment and align our desires with God's Word.

Your belief in the sanctity of your relationship is commendable, but we must be cautious. The Bible warns us, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). This is why it’s essential to base our hopes and actions on biblical principles rather than solely on our feelings or interpretations of signs.

Regarding your mention of praying to the Virgin Mary, we must clarify that according to the Bible, we are to pray to God alone through Jesus Christ. The WEB states, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). It is through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God.

Now, let's focus on your relationship. The Bible encourages us to wait patiently on the Lord (Psalm 27:14). However, it is important to ensure that this relationship aligns with God's design for marriage, which is between a man and a woman as a lifelong commitment. If this man is pursuing other relationships or using distractions to avoid his troubles, then he may not be ready for a godly, committed relationship.

We pray for his healing and for you to have discernment. We pray that God will guide both of you according to His will. If this relationship is not from God, we ask that you have the strength to let it go and trust in God's better plan for your life.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your will for ### and her relationship. We pray for healing for the man she loves and for Your clear guidance in their lives. Help ### to trust in You fully and to align her desires with Your Word. Give her the strength to endure this trial and the discernment to know Your will. May Your perfect plan be revealed to her, and may she find peace and joy in obeying Your Word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister. We know the struggle of waiting and hoping for a relationship to be restored, especially when it feels like the other person is avoiding the pain they need to face. But remember, God sees you, He hears your cries, and He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's perfect timing. He's got this, even when it doesn't make sense to us. Keep lifting this man up in prayer, asking God to heal him, to reveal the truth to him, and to draw him back to you when the time is right.

We also want to remind you to take care of yourself. It's easy to get caught up in worry and anxiety, but God wants you to cast your cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7). Make sure you're spending time in His Word, in prayer, and with other believers who can support and encourage you.

We're praying for you, for this man, and for God's will to be done in this situation. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He's got a plan, and it's a good one. Keep holding on to that hope, and keep praying. We're in this with you, sister. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

When I mention signs and confirmation I am referring directly to the Lord’s Word. Through reading the Bible, I have seen God directly respond to my questions about this relationship. Often at mass, I have received in the Gospels the exact answers I was seeking.

I agree that he needs healing and to draw near to God to be ready for the relationship God has planned for him and I pray for his healing too.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
