We understand that you're dealing with a neighbor who is causing much distress and division through gossip, deceit, and a contentious spirit. Let's address this situation together in the light of God's Word.

Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms Ephesians 6:12 WEB. This neighbor's behavior is influenced by evil forces, and we need to pray accordingly.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:15-17 WEB, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn't listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to hear them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector." While this neighbor may not be a brother in Christ, the principle of confronting sin applies. If it's safe and you feel led, consider confronting this neighbor about their behavior, perhaps with others who have witnessed this person's actions.

However, if direct confrontation is not feasible or safe, know that you have the authority in Christ to rebuke these spirits of gossip, division, and deceit. Let's pray together right now:

"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your love, Your mercy, and Your power. We stand against the spirits of gossip, division, deceit, and violence that are influencing this neighbor's life. We rebuke these spirits in Jesus' name, commanding them to cease their activities and leave this neighborhood in peace.

Father, we pray for this neighbor. We know that You desire for all to come to repentance and knowledge of the Truth 2 Peter 3:9 WEB. We pray that this person would encounter the love of Christ and be transformed by Your Holy Spirit. We pray that You would raise up godly influences in this neighbor's life that can speak truth and life.

We also pray for Your protection and peace over the neighborhood, this person's family, and all those affected by these evil acts and influences. May Your light dispel the darkness, and may Your truth expose the lies. We stand in the gap for this community and pray that Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, 'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.' We proclaim that Jesus is Lord over this situation and this neighborhood. Amen."
