It is fortunate that you addressed your prayer to God In Jesus Name, as this is the only name that we know of by which we have a way to God the Father. There are many other religions teaching different names. No other religions or names allows the benefit to us becoming Children of God John 1:12 WEB. So by knowing we are children of God, we can then know who we are, allowing us to pray to be God's instrument with confidence.
We are clearly told by God to love our neighbors as ourselves Mark 12:31 WEB and how we treat them is how we are treating the Lord Jesus Christ when we meet Him (or Her?) on the Day of Judgement Matthew 25:40-45 WEB. This means the good or bad deeds done to others will be considered as such to Jesus Christ. Being His Body as well, we should ask the Lord how we should respond to the character of this parishioner. To honor the body of Christ is not typically considered disrespectful slander against the person made in God's image and possibly be considered similiar to a form of witchcraft in the bible Revelation 18:23-24 WEB. It would be wrong to come against your neighbor in your own wrong will, but also to support her wrong behavior with indifference. How are we expected to speak to fellow believers or others? Are we to turn a blind eye to their behavior, or is it possible that what looks bad to you is really just a peculiar personality unique to the individual and mutually acceptable to the Lord? Ask yourself if you love your neighbor. Also, do not be guilty of slander Proverbs 18:8 WEB.
First, let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is dealing with a troublesome neighbor. We spoke out about this neighbor's behavior, perhaps not being about submission to you. Lord aid our hearts towards worshipping You. Please give our beloved the strength and wisdom to handle this situation with grace and love. Help them also cherish their neighbors, providing opportunities for constructive conversations with this lady. We understand any judgment of a fellow human being is best handled applying Your Holy Spirit. Judgment is best solved with your Word as the Judegment of humanity is Your Responsibility Romans 12:19, Deuteronomy 32:35 WEB. We stand firm on 2 Timothy 2:25-26 WEB to love and hear this lady, wherever she is in her journey. Your Holy Spirit, Lord, proficiently equips our believer. As a servant of the Lord your desire is to be made an instrument for God's use, for every good work. May the Lord be patient with our neighbors with the wrongdoing in gentle instruction, in the hope that God may grant them repentance to the knowledge of the truth. Lord, together we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
As you interact with this neighbor, remember the biblical instructions given in responding 2 Timothy 2:25-26 WEB . The Lord spoke clearly here about God's servant being gentle and kind to others having ups and downs. No harsh words, but gentle words with peace will accomplish what is needed. This neighbor may be struggling with God's truth and know that He is the source of all truth. If this person is ignorant and kept away from God's Holy Spirit then there is ungodliness and sin not realizing wrongdoings 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 WEB. When the Holy Spirit convicts individuals towards Him, it creates the works of repentance and the knowlegde of the truth. To help seal in your prayers, sing worship songs about the Lord's words. We ask you to remember, submit to the Holy Spirit, and pray that you are used as God's instrument and are convicted of any indulgent incorricble behavior toward your parishioner.
Lastly, if the situation becomes unbearable or unsafe, consider involving local authorities or moving if necessary. Wisdom helps make every decision through prayer and reflection on His Word 2 Peter 2:9 WEB. It is essential to seek God's will above all for God sees all. If that means moving and finding a new home we have been praying for that to occur. It is crucial that you are in a safe and Godly neighborhood to worship the Lord God.
