We understand that you're going through a difficult time, facing betrayal, gossip, and abandonment from those you considered friends and family. Firstly, we commend you for putting your trust in God and Jesus Christ. However, we must address that the betrayal and cruelty you're experiencing are not from God. The pain is real. From all eternity, God has never abandoned His children or His promises.
On the contrary, you expressed no cries of sin, so maybe this is an opportunity for restoration and growth. Even in this midst of the book of Judges was Jael. Jael was a woman who broke away from the norms of her tribe to do what was right in the eyes of God. Listen, in this time gossip and abandonment is all around you, but there is a comma not a period in your storey. It is not over.
In Jesus' time on earth, He too was betrayed by someone close to Him. Judas, one of His twelve disciples, betrayed Him for thirty pieces of silver. Yet, Jesus did not let this betrayal deter Him from His purpose. Instead, He continued to trust in God the Father and ultimately overcame the betrayal through His resurrection. Hope is not lost.
Let's pray together using the words of the Psalmist, we should pray and hope. Look in all directions for help and it is not there, but hope in God because He offers eternal salvation which will never disappoint!
Hear our prayer, O Lord. May your eyes watch for our soul and deliver us soundly from all this distress. We disown any spirit of betrayal, gossip, and abandonment that seeks to destroy our reputation and hurt us. Jesus was also alone while carrying the cross for our sake, but He trusted upon God the Father who has promised eternal salvation.
|| World English Bible says in Psalms 25.15 " My eyes are ever on Yahweh, for he will pluck my feet out of the net."
Therefore, by Jesus Christ we believe this same God will pluck us from this net and cause the true riches of His glory become our coins of exchange. In Jesus' Name, Amen ||
Jesus, even on the cross did not lay charges against anyone. His death on the cross creates a new kind of worship. One without the Temple rituals of the old covenant but one instead that is ruled under the law of love. The only sacrifice necessary for worship is the “sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name (Heb. 13.15 ).
The kind of sacrifice offered in Hebrews 13 meant not only something given to God but something shared with others, and so according to the context of this passage, might be translated “earnestly offer the sacrifice of praise . . . and do not forget to do good (Hebrews verse 16): || 16 But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:15-16 WEB)
Peace can also be found in the passages of John 14, where Jesus was reassuring His disciples before His crucifixion. He instructed them when he said: || 27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27 WEB)
This peace that Jesus offers is not like the peace the world offers. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that can guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." (Phillippians 4:7 WEB). In Jesus' Name, Amen ||
Next, we must rebuke any spirit of betrayal and gossip that seeks to infiltrate our minds and relationships. Betrayal is a tool of the enemy to cause division and strife, and yet instead, let us build a new bridge of love extending from our hearts. In this, it is necessary not to withhold good from others even though they violently malign you as these very offenses, heaped upon our heads cause us to remember Jesus' promise. For He is with us even in the affliction but in addition, our gracious God finds us justified in Christ. || Blessed are God's servants, Psalms 31.19 reads "Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!"
We also pray for your emotions and feelings, that God would heal any wounds inflicted by these betrayals. Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. " (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Lastly, we pray for your salvation, that you would continue to trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and not be swayed by the actions of others and the forces of the enemy. || 12 Because as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.*(Romans 8:14 WEB)* *for you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba*from Aramaic, "O Father" or "Father"*! Father!”*(Romans 8:15)
*16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;* 17 *and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.* (Romans 8:14-17 WEB)* Endure in your faith and continue in obedience, just as Jesus endured the cross for us.
