Rebuke Is A Blessing

Prayer Focus: Lord, I know that the “consequences” of sin unchecked are far worse than the sting of correction! God I ask You in Jesus’ name work in my heart, the hearts of my family, friends, The Encourager, and all my phone/e-mail contacts that are Christians. Work in our hearts, so that we have the humility and grace to accept correction, respond in love, learn from it, grow from it,—and even be thankful for it!

Proverbs 15: 31, 32: The ear that hears the rebukes of life will abide among the wise. He who refuses correction despises his own soul, but he who listens and pay attention to rebuke will get understanding.


Invite the Holy Spirit to keep your heart humble and open to His correction. The Lord may correct you through the reading of His Word or the words of fellow believers. Pray for the grace you need to respond and learn.

Luke 11:28: He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Those He loves, He rebukes because Jesus loves them with an everlasting love and cares for them. Rebuke should be a blessing to everyone who fails to obey Gods word. Sometimes satan want us all miss our way that leads to heaven and offers us riches on earth and material possesions that will perish in time. But Jesus want us all to be on the road to glory so He contantly tell us. Set your eyes on the Lord and never ever let Him go. Yes, that is what I will do all the days of my life till He calls me home to heaven.
