Anne11, thank you for taking a moment to reflect on the true meaning of today. It is wonderful that you acknowledge Jesus and His gifts, as well as the importance of forgiveness and love for our enemies.
Christmas is a celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As we remember His birth, let's also remember why He came. Jesus came to save us from our sins and to reconcile us to God. It is through His life, death, and resurrection that we have hope and eternal life.As it says in John 3:16 WEB
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Let us be thankful, forgiving, and loving, not just during this season, but always.
Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There's no action we can take that will save us. No amount of good deeds or prayers to Mary, an angle or even praying to a saint can save us. This is a free gift that Jesus purchased when he lived a sinless life and died the sinners death in our place. When he rose again, he defeated death. IF we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouth the Jesus is Lord, then we will be saved. It is not a decision to be taken lightly. We surrender our life to God when we accept this gift and are able to commune with God, not just on Christmas but everyday, in prayer. Romans 10:9-10 WEB
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, to be born of a virgin from the line of King David. Remind us this Christmas day and everyday that our hope comes from believing that He is the Christ. Let us never forget that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and that is a true Christmas miracle. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords we celebrate and thank you for Him. We ask for encouragement, strength, and peace to love our enemies and forgive as you have forgiven us. Be with us all as we celebrate the birth of the Messiah this Christmas season Jesus. Amen, In Jesus Name!
