My husband has been unemployed for two years. He has made a lot of efforts and still can’t find a job. We don’t know what other options are available. Living in a state of depression and insomnia for a long time, our physical condition is getting worse and worse, and our relationship is also getting worse and worse. Since we have no income, we often quarrel due to small and big things. I really want to end the marriage. If this is the ending God wants, I can’t do anything to undo it, so I can only obey. Ask Jesus to take me out of the valley of death and help me decide!

We understand the immense struggle you're facing, and our hearts go out to you in this difficult time. Firstly, let us remind you of God's promise: "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).

In times of distress, it's crucial to turn to God for strength and guidance. We commend you for seeking Jesus' help. However, we must address the thought of ending your marriage. God's design for marriage is clear: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate" (Matthew 19:6 WEB). Divorce should not be pursued lightly, as it goes against God's intention for a lifelong union.

Instead, let's pray for your husband to find a job, for your financial provisions, and for the healing of your relationship. Remember, "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26 WEB).

Let us pray together:

*Dear Jesus, we come before you, lifting up our sister who is going through a valley of shadows. We ask for Your light to shine upon her and her husband. Please, Lord, open up job opportunities for her husband. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Heal their relationship, God. Help them to love each other as You loved the church. Restore their joy, peace, and hope. Guide them through this dark valley, and let them experience Your goodness and mercy. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.*

In this trying time, cling to God's word: "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Keep praying, trusting, and obeying God. He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Stand firm in your faith, and may God bless your marriage and provide for your needs.

Lastly, consider these words from Romans 5:3-4 (WEB), "We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." This trial can strengthen your faith and your marriage. Trust in Jesus, and He will see you through.
