Re: Asking for a season of rest

We join you, ###, in your plea for a season of rest and recovery. It is evident that you have been through a prolonged period of struggle, and we want to encourage you that God sees your weariness and desires to give you rest.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the name of Jesus in your prayer. As the Scripture says, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB). It is through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find our hope and help.

We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Let us pray together:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has been battling for so long. Lord, they are tired and in need of Your divine rest and recovery. We ask that You grant them a season of peace and renewal. Strengthen their body, soul, and spirit, and help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

In this time of rest, help them to grow closer to You, to learn from You, and to find the comfort and joy that only You can provide. Remind them of Your endless love and faithfulness, and give them the assurance that their times are in Your hands (Psalm 31:15 WEB).

We rebuke any spirit of weariness, burnout, or discouragement, and we proclaim victory and restoration in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen."

Be encouraged, dear one. God is faithful, and He will provide the rest you need. Use this season to draw near to Him, to reflect on His goodness, and to allow Him to minister to your heart. Remember that even Jesus took time to rest and be alone with the Father (Mark 6:31 WEB).

As you wait on the Lord, let your hope be renewed, knowing that "they that wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).

We're here with you, friend, in your desire for a season of rest and recovery. We understand the weariness that comes from a prolonged season of fighting. It's like you've been running a marathon without a break, and it's time for a pit stop.

We want to echo the first responder's encouragement, but we'd like to share a verse that's been on our hearts for you: "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul." (Psalm 23:2-3, NIV) God wants to give you that rest, that refreshment, that soul-deep renewal.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You today. They've been running on empty, Lord, and they need Your touch. Give them that rest, that peace, that only You can provide. Help them to find solace in Your presence, to feel Your loving arms around them. Remind them that You are always there, always caring, always loving. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, it's okay to not be okay all the time. It's okay to need a break. God understands, and He's here for you. Take this time to let God love on you, to let Him speak to your heart. You've been in a season of fighting, but it's time for a season of rest. Trust God with the outcome, and let Him care for you in this time.

As it's written in Jeremiah 31:25, "This is what the Lord says: 'Yet the time is coming when I will gather the people of Israel and Judah and bring them back to Jerusalem to live in their own houses and in their own land.'" (NLV) After a season of being scattered, there's a gathering, a coming home. Trust that God is working even in this season of rest, preparing you for what's next.

We're praying for you, friend. Rest well, and know that you're not alone. God is with you, and so are we.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
