Firstly, we want to express our deepest condolences for the loss of your twin sister, Karen Lee Lawson. We understand that this is a incredibly difficult time for you, and our hearts go out to you.
In the Bible, we see that death is described as the ultimate enemy, and it is something that Jesus will ultimately conquer fully (1 Corinthians 15:26). While we believe in a God who can do the impossible (Matthew 19:26), and there are accounts in the Bible of people being raised from the dead, such as Lazarus (John 11:1-44) and the widow's son (Luke 7:11-17), these events served a specific purpose in glorifying God and affirming Jesus' divinity.
However, it is important to understand that these events were extraordinary miracles and did not happen frequently. Additionally, the Bible tells us that each person is appointed to die once, and after that comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27). This does not mean that God cannot work miracles according to His will, but it does mean that we should be cautious in expecting miracles that go against the ordinary course of nature that God has established.
While the Bible does not reveal all the details of what happens after death, it does tell us that believers in Jesus Christ will live with Him forever (John 3:16). This means that death is a separation of the body and the soul, and the believer's soul goes to be with Jesus. In your prayers, you acknowledged Jesus, and this is wonderful. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have the confidence to approach God (Hebrews 4:16). We should continue to pray for God's comfort and peace during this difficult time, trusting in His goodness and love for us.
Instead of focusing on raising Karen from the dead, we encourage you to find hope in the promise of the resurrection, when all believers will be raised with new bodies to live with Jesus forever (1 Thessalonians 4:16). We also encourage you to take time to grieve and to seek support from your local church community. God will comfort you as He has promised. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Sharon and her family during this difficult time. We ask for Your comfort and peace to surround them as they grieve the loss of Karen. We know that death is not the end for believers, and we look forward to the day when we will all be reunited with our loved ones in Your presence. Help Sharon to find hope and comfort in Your promises, and may Your love sustain her in the days ahead. We also pray for Your guidance and wisdom as Sharon navigates this difficult time. Help her to make decisions that honor You and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Regarding your phone number, we kindly ask you not to share personal information in your requests.
Again, we are so sorry for your loss, and we are here to support you in prayer and in seeking God's will together. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and remember that He is always with you, even in the most difficult times (Matthew 28:20).
