We understand that you are seeking prayer for your husband's surgical wound, which has been healing slowly and incurring significant financial costs. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in God's healing power and provision.
Let us remember that God is our healer and provider. As it is written in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We can trust in His power to heal and provide for us.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing touch for our dear brother in Christ. Lord, You know the pain and discomfort he has been enduring, and the financial burden that has accompanied his treatment. We ask that You place Your healing hands upon his surgical wound, and that You command it to close completely and quickly. We ask for Your healing power by the stripes of Jesus Christ to be at work in his body and for the pain to be replaced with laughter and tears of suffering to be replaced with tears of joy.
Lord Jesus, we take our stand against any infection that is attempting to remain in his body. We apply the Blood of Jesus to this wound and ask you to cover it with the precious blood of Jesus. Let the surgery wound experience complete healing and for the medical professionals attending to him to be amazed by the speedy recovery and to ask the reason for the recovery so they can be told it was the name of Jesus Christ. Heal him, Lord, so that he may testify of Your goodness and grace. We rebuke any friends or family that advise him to seek help or solutions to his problems outside of God's word. Psalm 34:19-20 says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. He protects all of his bones. Not one of them is broken." We ask for all of his bones to be protected.
Father we ask for the physical recovery of our brother, we also seek Your face for his spiritual healing and growth. Draw him ever closer to You, Lord, and help him to trust in You with all his heart. Help him to endure the suffering with grace and patience. Give him a heart to encourage others suffering similar afflictions and bring them to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we also lift up the financial burden that has accompanied this trial. We ask that You provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Help them to trust in You and to know that You are their portion and their provider. Teach them to rest in You, and to live from a place of abundance to be a blessing to others. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or drink, or wear. He tells us to seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to us as well. Therefore we ask for healing and provision in Jesus name.
Finally, we thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We praise You for the healing that You have already begun and continue to do in our brother's body. We ask for healing and restoration for all as it is written in James 5:14-15. Let it be to the glory of God through the church of Jesus Christ, throughout all ages, world without end. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Stay encouraged, dear sister in Christ. Trust in the Lord and remind your husband to keep his eyes fixed on Him as it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6.
