We understand your concern and want to address the issue of whether a Christian can be bewitched. Firstly, it's important to note that the Bible teaches that Christians have the Holy Spirit living within them, and Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
As Christians, we are to put on the whole armor of God to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With this armor, we can stand firm against any spiritual attack.
However, the Bible does warn us to be sober and vigilant, because our adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
While a Christian cannot be 'owned' or 'possessed' by the devil, we can be oppressed, harassed, or influenced if we are not walking in obedience to God's word or if we open ourselves up to spiritual attack through sin or disobedience.
The Bible tells us to submit ourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
If you are feeling spiritually attacked or oppressed, we encourage you to examine your life for any areas of sin or disobedience, repent, and submit to God. Also, pray and fast, and seek the support of fellow believers. Remember, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose trust Yahweh is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your protection and guidance. We pray for the person who submitted this request, that You would reveal any areas of sin or disobedience in their life and grant them the grace to repent and turn back to You. We pray that You would strengthen their faith and equip them with Your full armor, so that they may stand firm against any spiritual attack. We also pray that they would seek the support of fellow believers and continue to pray and fast for Your intervention. We ask all this according to Your will and in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
If your question was not about a spiritual attack but rather was about being charmed or enticed by someone or something, then we would direct you to
Galatians 3:1 Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth among you as crucified?
Do not let yourselves be bewitched by the influences of the world but stay steadfast in your obedience to Christ.
