The gift of prophecy, as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12, is the ability to speak forth God's message, truth and will to others. It is not necessarily about predicting the future, but rather, it is about declaring God's heart and mind to His people. In simple terms, it is like being God's spokesperson, speaking His words to others for their edification, exhortation, and comfort.
This gift builds up, encourages, and reminds men what they should do and not do. This gift can also warn, rebuke, and help men to change. It can also be used to declare and decree God's word in a situation.
The Bible says, Follow after love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries. But he who prophesies speaks to men for edification, exhortation, and consolation. He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly. (1 Corinthians 14:1-4) WEB.
Also, the gift of speaking in different kinds of tongues is a gift whereby the Holy Spirit enables the believer to speak in a language that they have never learned or known before. It could be an existing earthly language (like French, Greek, or Hebrew) that the speaker does not know, or it could be a heavenly, angelic language (like the tongues spoken on the day of Pentecost).
The Bible says, For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:2 WEB
But the question is, what does it mean to speak mysteries in the Spirit - and if no one understands, why is this gift beneficial? The Apostle Paul explains that speaking in tongues is a gift to remind men that God is real and to show unbelievers of His presence and power.
We will pray for you, that God may give you a deeper understanding of these gifts, and that He may use you as a vessel to manifest His gifts for the benefit of the body of Christ.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
