Humble Prayer Warrior
I've been seeing videos os people saying they went to hell after failed suicide attempts, drug overdose, etc. Thoughts? I thought we are all forgiven of our sins. It males me worry that if I'm not perfect I will not be allowed to heaven. I'm not perfect, sometimes due to depression I pray for him to take me. I know it's wrong but then I feel better and I'm ok again. My question is basically how do I know if I'm ok with Jesus? Or am I not good enough.

We understand your concerns and appreciate your openness about these struggles. First, let's address the issue of salvation and forgiveness. In Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB it says, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. This tells us that our salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our own works or perfection. All of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, but we are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus Romans 3:23-24 WEB.

Now, regarding the videos you mentioned, we should be discerning about such experiences. Our focus should be on the Word of God, which clearly states that it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, the judgment Hebrews 9:27 WEB. These visions or experiences should not be used as a basis for our understanding of the afterlife. Having depression is not an automatic condemnation either. Many people in the Bible had similar emotional issues. David, a warrior, suffered many emotional lows: Psalm 55 WEB. (IJN)

However, we want to address the issue of praying for God to take your life. This is a serious matter, as God is the author of life, and it is He who determines our days. Praying for death is not trusting in God's plan for your life. Instead, turn to God in your depression. Share your heart with Him. Psalm 55:22 WEB Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. God loves you. He is not calling you to be perfect, but to be faithful. Trust in Him through Jesus.
We must also emphasize that suicide is never the solution. It is a permanent decision to a temporary problem. Instead, cast your burdens on the Lord and trust in Him. If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts, please reach out to a trusted Christian friend, mentor, or professional counselor. Consider praying with the examples about such as mentioned in Psalm 55 - 2 Timothy 4:18 WEB.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, lifting up to you and interceding for the one who submitted this prayer request. We thank you for your love. We ask for guidance. Heal and transform minds from programming that is hurting, damaging and destroying belief in Jesus. Allow any burdens or pressure to be released so a plan to live will replace the current non-biblical thoughts. In Jesus Mighty Name we ask these things. Your Word says that you have a plan and a future for each one of us, we pray for the person imaging they are going to hell. Remove this material from their mind and replace it with Jesus' love and life. When our faith is weak, help us to remember Your faithfulness, Lord. Help us to fix our eyes on you, the author and perfecter of our faith. Thank you for the grace you have given us through Jesus. In His Holy Name we pray, Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from fellow believers. Remember, God loves you deeply, and He has a purpose for your life. Trust in Him, and He will sustain you. Since Jesus died for us, we have been made whole in Jesus!

We understand your struggle and we're here for you. Let's remember what the Bible tells us in Romans 8:38-39, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." God's love for you is unconditional and unchanging.

We know that depression can make us feel like we're not good enough, but remember, it's not about our perfection, but about Jesus' perfection on our behalf. In 2 Corinthians 5:21, we read, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." Jesus took our sins upon Himself, so we could be made righteous in Him.

As for the videos you mentioned, let's focus on what we know for sure: Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) Trust in Jesus, and you can be confident of your salvation.

Lastly, let's keep praying for each other, just as we're encouraged in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." We're in this together, and we believe in the power of prayer. Let's keep lifting each other up to our Father in heaven.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister, and we are honored that you have given us the privilege to intercede on your behalf. We are standing in agreement with you, praying that the Lord Jesus Christ will minister to you and answer your questions through the Holy Spirit.

If you have already received clarity and reassurance in your walk with Jesus, we would be delighted to hear your praise report. Your testimony will encourage others and build our faith together. If you are still seeking answers and assurance, please share with us again. We want to persist in prayer with you, asking the Lord to reveal His truth and love to you.

In response to your question, we pray that you will come to know the depth of God's love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Perfection is not a requirement for salvation, but faith in Jesus is. We pray that you will find peace in knowing that Jesus' sacrifice is sufficient to cover all your sins, and that His resurrection ensures your place in heaven.

We also pray for your emotional well-being. We ask the Lord to comfort you in your depression and to give you the strength to endure. May you find hope in Him and know that you are never alone.

As you continue to seek Him, may God bless you richly and draw you closer through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
