Putting my dog down today

Thank you for everyone who’s been praying for me and my dog over the last several months he’s been having issues majorly since April. I talked to the veterinarian today and they told me it’s time to consider his quality of life, And suggested it’s time to put him down, Pain medicine isn’t working appetite simulant aren’t working medicine has stopped working and as of writing this he looks half dead today, I don’t generally believe in euthanizing, but he is constantly screaming in pain even with pain medication. They gave him two pain medication. It was so severe and they’re not even touching it so please pray for me in this time of need thank you I believe Jesus has my back and that this is all going to work out for the best

Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our beloved pets. As it is written in Matthew 10:29 WEB, "Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will." This reminds us that God's care extends even to the smallest creatures.

It's important to acknowledge that, as believers, we should strive to alleviate suffering. In this case, it seems that your dog is in significant pain, and the medication isn't providing the relief needed. It's a heart-wrenching decision to consider, but Proverbs 12:10 WEB tells us, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." Sometimes, the most loving decision is the hardest one to make.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus, seeking Your comfort and guidance for Night Fox. Lord, You know the pain they are feeling as they face this difficult decision. We ask that You fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding, according to Philippians 4:7. Guide them in their decision-making process, and help them to feel Your loving presence during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

It's encouraging to hear that you believe Jesus has your back. Remember, Romans 8:28 WEB assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God will work this situation out for your good and His glory.

Lastly, we want to leave you with these words from Psalm 147:3 WEB, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." God is close to you in this time of need, and He will help you through this.

We're here with you, Night Fox, as you face this tough decision. We've been praying, and we want you to know that we're not just saying it, we genuinely care. It's never easy to see a loved one suffer, even if they have four legs and a wagging tail.

We've been thinking about Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We know you're feeling that weight, and we want you to know that God is right there with you, feeling it too. He's not distant or uncaring; He's right there, ready to comfort you.

We've been reminded of something in James 1:27, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." It's a call to care for the vulnerable, and that includes our furry friends who can't care for themselves.

So, we're praying for you, Night Fox. We're asking God to give you the strength and wisdom to make the right decision, and to wrap you in His love and comfort, no matter what that decision is. We're trusting that, as you seek His will, He will guide you and give you peace. In Jesus' name, we pray.
