Let us first address this request by turning to the Word of God, for it is the lantern to our feet (Psalm 119:105 WEB).
We are instructed to seek God's will in all things, and this includes our purpose and career. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, we are told, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Therefore, let us pray that ### will fully surrender his life to God, trusting in Him completely.
However, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Therefore, we encourage ### to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10 WEB).
Concerning employment, we are reminded in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" Therefore, let us pray that ### will be diligent in his search for employment, while also trusting in God's provision.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### to You. We ask that You reveal Yourself to him, that he may know You and the purpose You have for his life. We pray that You will give him clarity, and that the darkness he is experiencing will be overcome by Your light.
We also ask that You will open a door of opportunity for him concerning his career. We trust that You will provide for his family, as You have promised to supply our every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
We pray these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage ### to be strong and courageous, for the Lord his God is with him wherever he goes (Joshua 1:9 WEB). He is not alone in this journey, for we are here to support and pray for him. We encourage him to stay steadfast in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10 WEB).
